Israel Scouts - International Department

 

The Israel Scouts International Department, based in Tel Aviv, promotes international opportunities both in Israel and abroad, with the aim of strengthening links between Israeli Scouts and other members of The World Organization of the Scout Movement and The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.

 

What Are We Doing Outside Israel?

• Hundreds of scouts from Israel travel across the world every year, taking part in conferences, summer camps and seminars, guiding youth and having fun.

• Building strong connections with Jewish communities around the world.

• Israel Scouts Troops are active in North America, in the former Soviet Union and in Europe.

• And much more in the future - we have many scout groups looking for summer camps and other events to attend! We have a large department that can easily arrange delegations anywhere and and at all times - with participants from all different populations in Israel - girls and boys of all ages, Jews and Arabs, immigrants, scouts with special needs, dancing and singing scout bands and much more!

 

What can we offer you in Israel?

• Hanukah Trip - Each December, 10,000 scouts from all over Israel hike in the Israeli desert for 4 days. Join us for an extreme experience in one of the world's most amazing nature locations!

• Passover Trip - Have you ever hiked from one sea to another? Next April, you can join 40,000 scouts and hike around Israel for a few days. You are also welcome to add some of the most special and holy places in the world to your visit - Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee, Nazareth and more.

• Summer Camps - Each July we have 15 different Scout summer camps in Israel. With camping structures that you never seen before, warm weather and thousands of scouts, this will be a summer you will never forget.

• Sea Scouts - Take part in a very different, exciting and special scouting experience with Jewish and Arab Sea Scouts.

• The Scouting Badge - Come and experience the magic of scouting and make peace in the most amazing project! The Scouting Badge happens at the beginning of the year and is a special course where Jews and Arabs come together at a special camp with all the basics of scouting.

Jewish Programs

• Poland Delegation - Join 200 scouts every August making the special journey to Poland to visit primarily Holocaust-related sites. This is a profound experience for youth leaders in the Scouts that causes them to think and express their feelings.

• Chetz V’Keshet - A joint educational program of the Israel Scouts and the IDF. Its goal is to strengthen Jewish identity and the bond of young Diaspora Jews with the State of Israel.
